EMPIRICAL ANALYSIS OF LABOUR MARKET DEMAND IN NIGERIA

ABSTRACT
This paper examines the impact of economic reforms on poverty and unemployment situation in the country. The formal labour market was considered by using advertised vacancies. The result shows that the advertised vacancies are skewed towards high skill and that computer and analytical skill are highly required. The paper suggested that measures should be taken by government to help low skilled workers improve their skill through distance learning among others.
